For our Future Athletes
It’s been such a thrill keeping watch on Manila’s retail scene. From fashion to food to experiences, the world’s best brands have been coming into our city making products more accessible and sourcing what we need easier. This trend has lessened the need to go on Amazon to order products, wish lists or “bilins” for traveling relatives are becoming less necessary because everything is now available here. One thing we used to regularly ask to buy or hoard on when we are abroad are our kids’ athletic shoes simply because there were very little available options locally. Before, we would have to go to Giga Sports in Ocean Terminal in HK, or ABC Store in Japan, or sports stores in the Orchard Road malls in Singapore. We would even sometimes buy one or two sizes bigger to stock up since kids' feet grow faster than the frequency of our overseas travel schedules! Now, we no longer have to do this with the opening of the first and only Nike Youth Store in the Philippines and in the South East Asia. Owned and operated by Nike Prodigy, an official retailer of Nike Philippines, the Nike Young Athletes store is specifically designed to cater to the athletic gear requirements of children aged 0-13 years old.
