Mango Mania
When MANGO first opened in Manila way back in 1999, many went crazy over the new fashion brand from Spain. I, on the other hand, never really caught the shopping bug until a few years later– I guess it’s safe to say I’m a late bloomer in everything- from make up, to boys, and shopping included. I just hope that also means the aging process will just be a bit delayed for me! Now when I go shopping, whether here or abroad, MANGO is one of my sure stops. I almost always find interesting pieces that fit my personality and lifestyle. I usually go for classic pieces but with a twist- like an interesting accent, fabric or cut. My closet has MANGO pieces that are for everyday casual wear like the round neck tees and tanks, and more pieces that I use for work and meetings. MANGO pieces are a mix of trendy yet comfortable, and I also love the MNG Suit line, which has styles I can wear to my meetings or presentations but also to dinners or parties. I am always drawn to the bags and accessories of MANGO Touch as well.Recently I got invited to the big MANGO Rock It Up launch held at the SM Mall of Asia, and I was excited to find out that MANGO was finally introducing its kids fashion line! Now Reese and I can shop together- but for now, only at MANGO’s Flagship store in MOA.The girls line was cute, and so were the kid models–Love the jacket and scarf- hope the cold weather will come to Manila soon! Then I loved seeing mini-me sets showing moms and daughters dressed alike. Makes me want to go this route for our holiday outfits with my Reese. These twin girls were just adorable, along with their equally fashionable mother. There were boys clothes as well and here’s Hunter in between his parents- Troy Montero in H.E. by MANGO and Aubrey Miles in MANGO. Super preppy kid. Also launched at the event was MANGO’s Fall and Winter line— loved these pieces which are definitely wearable—they can take me from a meeting to a dinner. Then as if that wasn’t enough to make us salivate more- MANGO also launched MANGO SportandIntimates. Since I’ve been going to the gym regularly now, I could relate to most of these workout outfits, and can see how these can be great incentives to getting more fit and healthy. The men's line was totally Coby's style specially this one...The MANGO flagship store in Mall of Asia is now complete- showcasing all of MANGO’s different collections-MANGO Touch- MANGO’s accesories collection- MANGO KidsFor BoysFor GirlsCute pairings!Licensed tees MANGO + Monster High and dainty cardigans Cropped MANGO kids sweatshirts and printed jeansIt was a fun event, and bumped into my blogger friend, Yuki of www.mystylecat.com (who I now call my posing mentor:P)and of course some of my fellow Somoms, Tin Dychiao, Mommy Fleur and Jackie Go.So MANGO thanks for rocking it up and giving us that fun evening!
