Pinoy & Proud: The Global Pinoy Bazaar
The Global Pinoy Bazaar is an event organized by Yabang Pinoy, a non-government, volunteer-run organization which espouses Filipino Pride and through this bazaar, support Filipino brands and locally-made products.
I had been following Yabang Pinoy's instagram account which chronicled inspiring stories of some of their featured entrepreneurs. Wanting to support the event, contribute to local enterprise and hopefully bring home some unique finds, Gary, Zach and I made our way to the venue, the World Trade Center in Pasay this morning to check out the bazaar.
After going through the 200 booths here are some of the items in our #globalpinoybazaar haul:
The booths are zoned by category. Along side great quality clothing, shoes and bags are novelties and handmade crafts with the unifying factor being Filipino brand love and pride.
Our first stop was at the JoomaJam booth where we visited our friend and JoomaJam co founder, Vin Dancel.
They finally launched the cd versions of their awesome songs that are aimed to help kids learn Filipino in a fun way. JoomaJam is also available for download as an app!
We had fun going through the 70 or so booths and finished after more than an hour. Sharing with you some of my fave booths and finds:
